Adventures of the Conservation Pack

Join the Conservation Dogs as they travel across Iowa learning about our state's water, soil and other natural resources! 

Each episode has enhancement activities for grades K-2 and 3-5, which can be found on the Water Rocks! website.

Episode 1

Charlie visits Allen Bonini of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to discuss water quality and the important role each of us plays in keeping our water clean.

Jackie visits with Iowa State University professor Lisa Schulte-Moore to learn about the tallgrass prairie ecosystem and the many plants, animals and other living creatures that call it home.

Stewy travels to Des Moines to meet Rachel Glaza of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.  He learns all about watersheds and the importance of all of us working together, just like dogs work together in a pack, to keep the environment around us clean and healthy.

Charlie goes on a very special adventure in Episode 4, meeting Dr. Matt Helmers of Iowa State University out at Ada Hayden Park.  Not only is this Charlie's favorite park to visit, it's also home to wetlands that help keep our water clean and provide habitat for a wide variety of living creatures.

Charlie goes on a road trip to visit Abbe Hills Farm near Mt. Vernon. Charlie is very excited to meet the chickens, but owner Laura Krouse makes it very clear that she'll know right away if any go missing.
